“HOW TO FILM NIGHTCLUB VIDEOS | Tips and tricks Shooting At Nightclubs” - Michal Young Kim
What I’ve Learnt:
-
Shoot with a camera with good low light capability
-
Fortunately, when I bought the X-T3 I was wanting to use its low-light capabilities for personal projects.
-
-
Shoot with a lens with a high aperture.
-
Again like the X-T3, the 16mm f1.4 Sigma lens was bought with the same intention.
-
-
Use a gimble for smoother image
-
As I have already bought one I will use it for the music video.
-
-
Double the shutter speed of the framerate for natural motion blur
-
Set the white balance to 4800K - 5200K

AUTO FOCUS in MANUAL mode
-
When setting the camera to shoot in low light, I found out that there is a button with the label, AF-L that allows me to autofocus even when I’m on manual mode. This is brillant as I will be able to use manual techiques such as pulling the focus but also cut down on time focusing on stills.
